How we work

One team draws the plans, chooses every material and runs the site. What you approve is what gets built.

  1. Visit and brief

We measure the space and ask how you use every room.

    1 week

  2. Design

Plans, a material board and a fixed, itemised quote.

    4 to 8 weeks

  3. Build

Our site lead is there every working day, with photos for you each Friday.

    8 to 16 weeks

  4. Handover

We walk the rooms with you and fix anything on the list within 30 days.

    1 week

About the studio
A material board: terrazzo samples, a chengal offcut, a breeze block and a rattan panel on a plaster slab.

Local materials first

They last in this climate, and someone nearby can repair them.

Terrazzo
Cast on site, or tiles from a family works in Ipoh.
Chengal
Reclaimed timber for stairs, counters and doors.
Breeze blocks
Screens that let air through and keep the sun out.
Lime plaster
Walls that cope with humid air.

Questions

How much does a renovation cost?

It depends on the size and the scope. After the first visit we give you a fixed, itemised quote before any work starts.

Do you design only, or build too?

Both. If you have your own contractor, we can hand over the drawings instead.

Do you handle council permits?

Yes. We prepare and submit the renovation permit to DBKL, MBPJ or your local council.

How soon can work start?

Usually 6 to 10 weeks after the first visit, which covers design and permits.

Do you work outside the Klang Valley?

Not for builds. We take design-only projects anywhere in Malaysia.
